Living
with Jim and Gayle
May, 2024
My garden is planted.
Jim's been busy. He had to repair the bottom of the
trailer. He is now waxing it.
My hands have started bothering me. I had x-rays. The
bottom joint of both thumbs is frozen due to arthritis, To
compensate, the thumbs are deforming. The only fix is to have the
thumbs rebuilt. I will put that off for a while.
Jim built a light box from an old monitor that our friend, Joan, gave
him. He'll use it in his drawing.
We've been trying to break Bo of barking outside. We bought a
device that emits a high pitched sound when he barks. Guaranteed
to work. Didn't faze him in the least. We bought
another handheld device, again guaranteed to work. Again, didn't
faze him. He just likes to bark.
Jim bought us a new phone. I loved our old phone but it didn't
have very much memory so I kept having to delete one app in order to
use another app.
Our La Quinta house solar panels generated more power than we used in
May. Even with the difference in what we pay for power versus
what we are paid for power, we still got a credit on our power bill.
The ticks this year are really bad. Bo has brought three in from
the backyard. We assume the squirrels that frequent the yard
bring them into the yard. To make it easier to see if a tick is
on Bo, I
shaved him down. He is freezing to death as the weather is still
cool.
