Living
with Jim and Gayle
April, 2024
The A/C company had to come out a third
time to try to repair the leak in the roof. We didn't have time
to leak test it before leaving, but hopefully they got it fixed this
time.
The desert was in bloom this month. Our lot had a lot of color.
SpaceX launch was pretty cool to see.
We spent an enjoyable couple of hours touring the Coachella Valley
Historical Museum. Our docent has lived in the valley all of his
life so he had interesting stories.
Since we returned to Richland, we have been busy with yard work.
We thatched the yard (didn't get a picture so this is Jim afterwards
repairing the weed eater).
I expanded my garden. I had to sift and move river rock that was
there since I decided to plant in the ground rather than use more
garden bags. I had to conscript Jim into helping me as it ended
up being a rather large task getting the river rock out.
Jim redid the irrigation system so I have a lot of options for
water. My garden is now ready to be planted. We just need
the weather to warm up.
The crazy killdeer were back. They laid 4 eggs. Three
hatched. If you look closely, you can see two babies and the egg
that didn't hatch. As soon as the three babies were up, they all
left.
At house in La Quinta.
