Living
with Jim and Gayle
October, 2026
Salmon season was tough this year.
The salmon run was low. We only caught 9 adult salmon of which we
could only keep 6 because of the restriction limiting us to hatchery
fish.
In contrast, we caught a record number of sturgeon, 23. They
can't be kept, they waste time and often break gear.

It got cold towards the end of the season.

Fishing

I harvested the last of my garden and pickled the jalapenos.

After fishing, we came home for a week and closed the house up for the
winter. We then headed south.
The drive along the Columbia River was beautiful.

Bo enjoyed his rest area stops.

Bo is such a good traveler, curling up in his bed in the back seat.

The drive to La Quinta, CA was long and boring. We were glad to
get to our winter home.
Unfortunately,
Bo had a seizure this month.
