Living
with Jim and Gayle
February, 2026
Jim finished enclosing the water pipes that
run on the outside of the house.
Here's what the pipes looked like before they were enclosed.

This is what they look like now.

Jim's never short on projects here.
He put down pavers on the front side of the side gate and
installed a water faucet on the south side of the yard.

He finished insultating the windows in the kitchen, living room and the
large window in the bedroom.

When he removed the trim around the front living room window, he found
a lot of termite damage. Hopefully it is old damage.

I painted the water pipe enclosures and the window frames and walls.

I also trimmed the three Mulga Acacia trees in our yard.

The block wall is done. The gate should be installed next month.

We did do fun things.
We went to a small outdoor concert by the "Mudbugs".

My college roommate, Carol, and her husband, Duane, are here for a
couple of months. We're enjoying getting together with them.

The four of us went to an estate sale, just to see the house.
Built in 1999 it was a 10,615 Sqft house with 10 bedrooms and 11
bathrooms, sitting on 1.55 acres of land in Rancho Mirage. The
owner died in 2018 and the house had deteriorated significantly.
However, it was interesting to wander around it. The grounds in
particular were impressive. The house has been sold
($2.7Mill). It would be interesting to know if it will be torn
down or fixed.

I celebrated my February birthday with four other February ladies that
I
know from pickleball.

Bo thought the chair cushions I bought for the kitchen chairs made a
good bed.
