We finally gave up on our big birch tree.  We will wait until next spring to replace it.


When we moved into the house, Jim built a small shed.  It was only about 4 feet tall.  It was impractical to use so this month we rebuilt it to be taller.


We continue to enjoy the garden bounty.  Fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, homemade tomato soup, canned spaghetti sauce, and cowboy candy.


A friend hosted a ladies' pool party.


Jim brought the trailer home from storage as we're gearing up for fishing next month.  He washed the outside and I cleaned the inside.

We put the boat in the water to test the new trolling motor.  Jim learned a couple of things so it was a good exercise ahead of fishing.

I have developed a "plantar fascial fibromatosis" on the arch of my left foot.  There is not a good remedy so the doctor's advice is to do nothing until it interferes with walking.


I'm winding down my yarn effort as fishing season approaches after which we'll head south for the winter.

Bo had another seizure this month.  In consultation with our vet, we've decided to just maintain his phenobarbital dosage as he is close to the toxic level.  We will continue to monitor his seizures and if they get a lot worse or more frequent, we'll have to add a second drug.

Bo got his last haircut before winter.  He's freezing to death in the air conditioning so has to wear his sweater.
