Living
with Jim and Gayle
April, 2026
We left California and headed home on
4/8. We decided to do the drive in 3 days rather than our normal
marathon drive of 2 days. It was a much easier drive home for all
of us.
Our yard was overgrown.

We bought a weed burner to clear the path next to us (it belongs to the
golf course but they don't maintain it so we do).

The crazy killdeer are back. They drive Bo nuts with all their
flopping around. If we had been home before they laid their eggs,
I would have discouraged them but since the eggs were already there, we
just put up with them.

Jim took advantage of a rainy day to clean the back deck of its winter
dirt.

Jim's scheduled to have hand surgery next month to straigthen his
little finger and fix his middle finger's trigger finger.

Last fall we canned some blistered tomato pasta sauce. This was
our first time to try it. It was great.

Jim hurt his back doing the yard work so was laid up for about a
week.
He was bad enough that he made an appointment with a spine
doctor. By the time he got in, his back was feeling much better
so nothing was done.
I still have aching calf muscles and get winded easily. I have a
lung function test next month.
Bo has not had a seizure this month.
Bo got a new toy, "Sheep".
