Living
with Jim and Gayle
January, 2025
We started the New Year with a Southern
"Good Luck" meal of ham hock with lima beans and black eyed peas and
cornbread.

Jim's big project this season is building a shed in the backyard.
He has completed the build. He has moved the washer and dryer out
and hooked them up. He now has to organize the inside, building
cabinets, shelves, etc. Lots of work left but a major
accomplishment for him to get the shed built. I think it is
really nice!

Jim found a nice cabinet that we put outside next to the utility sink
for added storage and a flat surface to put things on when working at
the sink.

We hope Jim has enough time to install gutters on the house.
Before he does this, we wanted the fascia boards painted. I
scraped them and washed them with TSP. Then Jim helped me paint
them.

We are done repairing the three holes in our microconcrete
flooring. Depending where you are standing and how the light hits
them, they range from hard to see to very obvious.

I came home one day to a large police presence around our house.
The police were looking for a guy who had fired a gun in a house right
by us. Jim was gone and had left the back gates open. I was
uncomfortable entering our backyard. The police searched the yard
and shed to make sure the guy wasn't hiding in our yard.

My college roommate, Carol, and her husband Duane, dropped by for a
short visit.

Bo got two new toys, Duck and Moose. He really likes Moose.
