My Mom died this month.  In truth, I lost my Mom a long time ago.  After she moved to Denver, I didn't see her as often as I did when she was in Seattle.  Her hearing loss made it almost impossible to visit with her on the phone.  This last year her dementia increasingly made it hard to communicate with her.  However, the finality of her death is gut wrenching.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Mom.  It's of a time that I remember well.  She is smiling and has her critters with her.

Capturing 97 years of a person's life is hard, but with the help of my sister, Lynne, I put together a tribute page:
