Living

with Jim and Gayle

September, 2022

The month started with a scare.  Bo suffered a major seizure.  By the time we got him to the vet, it was over.  The vet did a thorough exam, including bloodwork, but could not come up with a cause.  The suspicion is that he is developing epilepsy.  For now, we are in the watchful/waiting mode.  So far, he has not had another seizure.

We are enjoying the bounty of my small garden.  We are eating a lot more fresh vegetables because of it.  Here is a sampling of some of my harvest.

Jim is doing target shooting (BB guns and pellet pistols which are legal to be fired within the city limits).

September brings fall salmon fishing.  We took our trailer out to the RV park in Desert Aire which is only about 10 minutes from where we fish.  We stay in it Sunday evening through Thursday morning.  We leave the trailier at the campground and the three of us return home for the weekend.

The first day of fishing was so smokey that we quit fishing after only a short time.

We had a great first two weeks of fishing, catching 9 adult salmon in 6 days.  Here are our first fish of the season.

Here we are fishing.

Just after I hooked a fish, a guide boat came by and watched (it was a slow day).  The guide took a couple of pictures which he sent to us.
