August, 2021
Life is pretty routine. I play pickleball and mahjong, and
paint rocks. Jim is drawing and doing miscellaneous chores.
Bo is making us smile.
I had an appointment this month with the Physician's Assistant of
the
orthopedic surgeon recommended by the specialist I saw in Denver in
March. The appointment was in Renton, about a 4 hour drive.
We decided that it was a good opportunity to do a test run with the
trailer. We intended to do several trips in it this summer, but
it never happened. With fishing season rapidly approaching, we
needed to get some time in it with Bo. We were really pleased
with how everything went with only a couple of things that need to be
addressed. Bo was a little stressed so didn't eat well but
hopefully he will be okay when we are fishing next month.
My garden did vey well this month. We had a continuous supply
of butternut squash, yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers, and banana
peppers.
Cuteness overload!
Bo decided to attack the water when Jim was washing off the
deck. We're not sure if he was having fun or protecting
Jim. It was funny to watch!
We picked a couple of pans of blackberries when we went to
Renton. Now I have to make a blackberry cobbler!
I've had a terrible time with putting resin on my rocks. About
half of these have to be redone because the resin has not covered
smoothly.
