May, 2019
May continued to be all about my left knee replacement. It continues to be hard. I don't feel well, I'm not sleeping, and the knee is not moving well. When I look up what I wrote when I had the partial done in 2016, I basically said the same thing. So, I just keep putting one foot in front of the other and hope that "this, too, shall pass". I transitioned, at the end of the month, to only once weekly PT sessions, but continue to do my "homework" daily.
These pictures are comparisons of my original partial knee
replacement (on the left) versus my full knee replacement (on the
right).
This is a picture of my knee when I was in surgery (if you're
squeamish, you might want to quickly page down). It's an
interesting picture. You can see the partial knee replacement,
the dark tissue of the PVNS, and the discolored bone from the invasion
of the PVNS.
This is how my knee currently looks. The incision is healing
nicely.
Our lot had a palm tree in the middle of the ficus trees. I just
hated it. This month, we had it removed.
Jim finished grouting a lot of his tile projects.
One last potluck. Not many people left and now at month's
end, even fewer people are here.
