with Jim and Gayle
June, 2019
June was another month all about my left knee replacement. It
continues to be hard, but it is easier than last month. I am
sleeping better. Unfortunately, the "catch" in the back of the
knee has gotten much
worse. This is worrisome. My surgeon thinks it is a result
of a tight Iliotibial band (IT band) so has prescribed one more PT
session for me to learn how to properly stretch it. I continue to
do my PT "homework" daily.
Jim continues to write documents for the resort. This is
taking up most of his time while he waits for me to heal. Max is
enjoying having us home most of the day. Jim and I have gotten
back to playing a couple of games of Mahjong every day. We're
going to the Owner's Lounge to get Max used to being left by himself
(he
was exhibiting separation anxiety when we'd leave).
We went to another end of the end potluck dinner at the Owner's
Lounge. There were only 10 of us though there are about that many
more still in the park.
We went to see an Abba tribute band, AbbaFab. Because we like
Abba, we enjoyed it, but neither Jim nor I could understand how this
group has survived -- they just weren't that good.
I resined another batch of rocks that I'd painted. No matter how
hard Jim works to get the bubbles out, we are still having issues with
bubbles in the cured resin. Grrrr...
