October, 2018
We had a GREAT salmon season, catching 31 fish. Although the
salmon run was way down, the season shortened, and the limit
drastically reduced, we caught a lot of salmon and had a great time.
Last fish of the season.
The truck easily handled getting the boat in and out of the water
(there isn't a boat ramp so it can be tricky).
While we were in Desert Aire, my college
roommate, Carol stopped by for an afternoon visit.
We bought a "new" frig for the shed to replace the mini frig we
had. We really like having the additional space.
The major news of the month is Mom's move. She moved to
Thornton (Denver) Colorado where she will be nearer my older sister,
Lynne. Lynne coordinated the entire "adventure". She flew
into Seattle from Denver, organized Mom, and then drove Mom's car with
Mom and her dog, Dazzie, to Denver.
Jim and I stayed behind and packed Mom's apartment and supervised the
loading of it into the moving van.
The local moving crew.
The day after the apartment was loaded into the moving van, Jim and
I headed south.
