Living

with Jim and Gayle

March, 2023

We left Indio on March 6.  It looked like our best chance of making it home.  The winter storms just kept piling in, but Jim felt we had a window where we could make it.  There were two days when we thought we wouldn't be able to continue, but we made it safely home.

One of our more colorful stops is in Amargosa Valley, NV.

The house was in good shape, thanks to the person we hired to watch after it.  He put up a squirrel feeder to make the house look more lived in.  I'm sure the squirrel was disappointed when Phil retrieved the feeder after we got home.

We enjoyed the toaster oven/air fryer that we had at the rental house so we bought one for ourselves.

We had a mouse in the house again.  Bo triggered on the dishwasher again.  We put the trap out -- the mouse ate the cheese two nights in a row without getting caught.  The third night, the mouse didn't eat the cheese and Bo isn't triggering on the dishwasher anymore.  Bo was also triggering on the fireplace.  We weren't sure if he was just hearing wind sounds or if there was a mouse.  Jim took the fireplace apart and sealed up holes.  Bo no longer thinks there's a mouse in the house.  Did Jim seal out the mouse?
