with Jim and Gayle
January, 2020
Between December and January, we went to a number of
get-togethers. All were very enjoyable.
Friends annual "Gluug" party.
Annual pickleball party.
Annual resort Christmas potluck.
My annual New Year's Day ham hock with lima beans, black eyed peas,
and cornbread
for good luch and prosperity in the coming year.
The YMCA BBQ Fundraiser Hoedown.
Karaoke Potluck (no, we didn't sing!)
Friends Jerry and Jennifer, for their 50th wedding anniversary,
renewed their vows.
Foretravel friends Brend and Neal payed us a quick visit.
And finally, Jim's nephew, Shaun, came over for a quick visit while
he and his wife were in town.
On "Cyber Monday", Jim bought a "Google Mini". I'm surprised at how much we use it. Especially helpful is "Hey Google, set a timer for x minutes". When we want to know what something is, or what the temperature is, or to play music, and a variety of other things, we just can ask for them. Fun.
Jim had to make a repair to the aquahot (our water heater).
A hinge on a door of our outdoor kitchen broke. Jim had to
hire a welder to fix it.
I decided to try "Lipiflow", a treatment designed to help unblock the
oil glands in my eyelids to help relieve my dry eyes.
