March, 2019
March was a busy month.
The big BNP/Paribas Open Tennis Tournament was held the first week
of March. Big name players, like Serena Williams, play in this
tournament. When the "names" are playing, it is expensive to
attend. However, the first two days of the tournament are for
those players who are ranked too low to automatically qualify.
During those two days, admission is free. My friend, Libby, and I
went for several hours both days.
The resort had its annual "Yard Sale" I sold several of my
handpainted rocks (enough to pay for more paint).
We celebrated St. Patrick's Day at the clubhouse. We had
corned beef and cabbage followed by the "Bernie and Red" comedy
show. It was a really fun evening.
The neighborhood had a block party pizza party. We had it on
our lot.
We went to a friends (Cheryl) surprise 70th birthday party. It
was held at a local Chinese restaurant.
We had a fun time at the last pickleball club's party.
We ended the month with a fantastic "End of Season" party.
We are creating a "living room" environment in the new covered
portion of our lot.
The last week of the month I had daily appointments related to my
upcoming knee replacement April 9.
Max finds all sorts of places to sleep.
