Memories of Dad
Charles Edward Roberts (Ed)
April 19, 1919 - September 6, 1995

I didn't really know my Dad.  He worked hard to provide for his family.  He was, for most of my life, a traveling salesman.  That meant he was usually gone 5-6 days a week and when he was home, he still was working.  It was a hard life for him, but I never heard him complain.  He just did whatever he could to provide for his family.

I didn't appreciate him when he was alive.  I look back at his pictures and wish I had known him better.  He was a good man.

Dad, Charles Edward Roberts, Ed, was born April 19, 1919.  He had an older sister, Janet and a younger sister, Susan.

Dad was stationed in the Philippines during World War II.  He never talked about his experience.  He came back with what he called "jungle rot" which plagued him all of his life.
