Memories of Anne
Terry Anne Roberts
December 29, 1954 - September 11, 1981

Anne died too young, at the age of 27, a life just beginning.  She was killed in a small plane crash doing what she loved to do -- flying.

I don't have a lot of memories or pictures of Anne.  With the help of my sister, Lynne, I have assembled a few pictures that roughly show her life.

Anne was born December 29, 1954.

Binky was Anne's constant companion.  I was told that Mom used to hook Anne to Binky to keep Anne out of the irrigation ditches.

Anne loved horses.  As kids, it was Lynne who talked our parents into our first horse, Babe.  But it was Anne who kept them in her life.  She was thrown from Rafi and broke her back (she recovered).

Although I was the one who trained the early Yorkies and went to the dog shows with Mom, it was Anne who would have continued with the dogs as an adult.

I'm guessing this picture was taken around 1976.

When I think of Anne, this is how I picture her.  Mom had this picture hanging in the living room.

Anne loved working for the Forest Service.  She learned to fly while she was stationed at Paine Field in Everett, WA.

Anne's final Forest Service posting was in Republic, Washington.  She and 3 others died when their small plane crashed shortly after taking off from the Republic air field.
