Living on the Road

with Jim and Gayle

April, 2019

April was all about my left knee replacement.  I had a partial replacement done May, 2016.  It has never been right.  I decided to change orthopedic surgeons and have a full knee replacement.
The knee was replaced April 9, 2019.  It has been hard.  I am having a lot of pain management issues.  I can't get the right drugs to control the pain without making me feel unwell and emotional.  Hopefully the pain level will diminish and I won't have to worry about managing the pain.  I started physical therapy the day after surgery, while still in the hospital.  I now go to PT sessions two days a week at a nearby Physical Therapist business.  I then do PT on my own a couple of times a day.

This is an xray of the knee (front and side views).

Once Jim's caretaker responsibilities decreased, he installed three new ceiling fans in our outside pergola.

We had a nice evening at the final resort party "Last of the Mohicans Potluck".
